What a check costs
Predictable for ordinary papers.
- Standard check (28 credits) covers up to 8 pages and 4 000 words of content.
- Longer papers pay the larger of +2 credits per page above 8 or +0.5 credit per 100 words above 4 000, never both.
- 2 free re-checks per paper with purchased credits. Otherwise, and after that, a quarter of the paper’s check price (at least 14 credits).
- Hard cap: 120 pages, 25 000 content words or 50 figures. Larger papers are rejected at upload, before anything is charged.
- References are free: they’re read too, so a broken reference can show up in your report, but they don’t count toward pages or words.
- The free first check covers papers up to 10 pages (references don’t count), no account needed. Longer papers need a free account: the 40 credits you get when you sign in cover papers up to about 14 pages.
- Failed checks are never charged.
